Measure DD

Thank you Sweetwater Community For supporting Measure DD

With 100% of precincts reporting, Measure DD, a general obligation bond in the amount of $403 million, is passing with 65.56% voting in favor. There are still absentee, mail-in, and provisional ballots to be counted. In addition, the election must be certified by the Registrar of Voters. That stated, it is clear that Measure DD has been resoundingly supported by the Sweetwater Union High School District voting community.

We would like to thank all voters who took time to vote on Measure DD. We are confident that the funds derived from this passage will serve the students of SUHSD well in the coming years. This new bond measure will address several needs that our district has and continue the master planning work that we have been engaged in for the past few years.

Finally, we would like to thank all those responsible for placing Measure DD on the ballot and those who contributed their time, talents, and efforts to ensure its passage, including our Governing Board. Our students will benefit from your efforts – congratulations!

Please continue to check in with us via our district website at www.sweetwaterschools.org for more information about the bond process and other important district news and events.
